User Agreement

Effective date: August 15, 2026

This User Agreement is the end-user licence (EULA) for the WiseFin software. It is in addition to the Terms of Service. If they conflict on licence or ownership, this User Agreement controls those topics.

1. Licence grant

Shalin Patel grants you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to install and use WiseFin on devices you own or control, solely for your household's personal finance tracking.

WiseFin is licensed, not sold. We and our licensors retain all right, title, and interest in the software, branding, parsers, and documentation.

2. What you may not do

Except as allowed by applicable law (including interoperability exceptions), you may not: copy the app except for a backup; modify, decompile, or create derivative works; rent, lease, or provide WiseFin as a bureau or competing service; remove proprietary notices; or use the app to build a competing parser or product using our statement-import logic.

3. Household use

You may create multiple profiles under your signed-in account for people in your household. You are responsible for their use and for any shared budgets.

You must not use someone else's financial statements or account data without authority. Shared-household use is only for people who have agreed to share that information with you.

4. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of data you enter or import, reviewing AI and parser suggestions, keeping your PIN and device secure, and complying with your bank's rules when exporting statements.

You agree that WiseFin is a tracking aid only. You remain solely responsible for financial decisions, tax filings, and dealings with banks and advisors.

5. Updates

We may provide updates through the App Store or Google Play. Updates may be required to keep using cloud sync. This licence applies to updates unless they come with new terms.

6. Open source

WiseFin includes third-party components under their own licences (see Open Source Notices). Those licences govern those components. This User Agreement does not limit rights you have under an open-source licence.

7. Store acknowledgements

If you downloaded WiseFin from Apple, you acknowledge that this licence is between you and Shalin Patel, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of this EULA and may enforce it. To the extent the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation.

Google Play licence terms also apply to Android installs.

8. Export and sanctions

You may not use or export WiseFin except as authorized by Canadian, U.S., and other applicable export and sanctions laws.

9. Termination

This licence lasts until you uninstall WiseFin and delete your account, or we terminate it for breach. On termination you must stop using the software. Your content is handled under the Privacy Policy and Data & Account Deletion policy.
